My Childhood

I did this with a smile on my face, I just watch the Pacific Rim Trailer. And while watching it old memories of my childhood came rushing back. I remember when I was a kid and watching the old Tranformer beast war cartoon and having my mind blow when I saw that they won’t really talking space animals but robot that turn into animals which at the time I couldn’t make two cent. And after the show was done they showed the original Tranformers cartoon and had my mind blown again when I found out that this robot were bigger and turn into cars. But everything change when I watch the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I first I watch it I thought it was kinda dumb, teenager is weird costumes talking to a head in a jar. But that all change when the monster bigger than they the Ranger, became this massive thing and smash the hell out of Angel Grove I watch this with eyes the size of dinner plates thinking that this was the amazing thing I have ever seen. Then out of the blue call out there was a giant robot, at this time all I can think of “What’s going on?” I honestly trying to make sense of all this. Why is there a giant robot here? And at that moment my mind shot to the back of the stadium. They were fighting, a giant monster fighting a giant robot I loved it, so much….But then I brother told me something that I will never forget. “You there a movies just about giant monster fighting right” and all I could say was really? I few weeks later my brother told me watch this thing on Tv and how I was going to love it. And I did, if it was for this movie I would have never started love of drawing. It was “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2” I have treasured memories of me drawing new monster that Godzilla would fight or fight each other. I sent hours sitting in my rooming drawing monster and robots. The Kaiju movies have all way been a big influence to me and will continue be a big part of my life. So thank you Ishiro Honda for awesome childhood and for Godzilla. I am totally going to see Pacific Rim in 3D and getting a movie poster I hope they have it in the old Kaiju movie poster but still I hope it doesn’t suck.
